Good ol’ BBC has once again updated its Android app, this time focusing on all of you with Android tablets. Yep, the new version of the application sings along Honeycomb devices, offering “simple browsing in landscape and portrait view.” In other words, it [application] now has a new UI for “large tablets” while those of you with 7-inch ones will continue to see the mobile phone version…

And that’s about all there is in this release. The future update will also bring Live News Channel and home screen widgets.

All in all, if you’re getting your BBC News fix on a smartphone, there’s no need to update. If you, however, want the same content on your Honeycomb tablet (presuming you have one), you’ll want to get the latest version.
